About

A small color cosmetics manufacturer, run by people who answer their own emails.

Why we exist

Indie brands deserve a manufacturer who treats them like a real customer.

We started Hansha because we kept watching small beauty brands get burned by suppliers that were too big to care. Slow replies. Wrong shades. Promised dates quietly missed. Quality issues surfaced after the brand had already paid.

We thought there should be a manufacturer set up for the brand you’re actually trying to build — the one with a small team, a tight launch calendar, and very little tolerance for surprises.

So that’s what we made.

Yan Zhou

Co-founder

Yan runs every customer relationship at Hansha. When you email yan@hanshacosmetics.com, you’re emailing her — not a shared inbox, not a sales rep with three brands they need to get back to that week.

She’s the person who briefs the factory floor on your spec, who flags issues before they become problems, and who tells you the truth when a timeline isn’t realistic. If we work together, she’s the relationship.

The factory we work with

One partner facility. 30+ years of color cosmetics on the floor.

Hansha works with a single partner factory specialised in pressed-pan and liquid color cosmetics. Their parent company has been manufacturing color cosmetics since 1992 — long enough to have made just about every quality mistake you can make, and to have built the systems to prevent them.

The line is ISO 22716 (cosmetics GMP) and ISO 9001 certified, with CPNP-ready documentation supported for EU and UK launches.

We don’t move orders between factories to chase margin. The same team that learns your spec on samples is the team that ships your production run.

How we work

Small on purpose. Honest by habit.

We don’t want to be the biggest manufacturer. We want to be the one a handful of indie brands trust completely. That shapes every decision we make — what we say yes to, what we say no to, and how we price things.

If you’ve worked with manufacturers before, you’ll recognise the difference quickly. If this is your first launch, you’ll find we explain things without the usual industry fog.

Drop Yan a line.
